Over-thinking

Hi guys. It is BC here.

Today, I will be talking about the topic on over-thinking. Over-thinking is also called analysis paralysis, which means that you think too much over something that has not happened, and you over-analysed the whole situation, without taking a step back to reason things out.

For example, one day you decided to invite a friend to go shopping with you at the nearby mall. Your friend said "No Thank You". Thoughts immediately flash through your mind and you start to think: "Oh No! He might not be my friend anymore!" then you think again, "He might be embarrased as he does not want to go to the mall with me!" then you think some more, "Is he busy? He went with me to the cinema yesterday, and why not to the mall today?" The following day, your friend says "Let's go to the mall and do shopping".

So in the first place, the 'you' in the example did not accept the fact that 'your friend' does not want to go to the mall. Instead, he actually over-thinks stuff when his friend might just be busy on that day.

When people over-think, they look like this:

And they end up pretty much in the 'stressed' emotional state. To summarize, don't think too much. Stay in the "medium" range and you will be perfectly fine.

Rest

Hi guys,

This is BC here. Hope you guys had a wonderful time on Sunday. (Just to note, I would not be posting on Sundays as it is a weekend and I do need my rest time too.)

Okay. So today's topic is something about what I do experience in my life, what everyone experiences in their lives. Sleep. Everyone goes through that. If you say you never did, you a officially not human.
Sleep does affect our attitude toward things. Without sleep, you will look like....

.....and you would not be able to think properly and do your stuff properly. An afternoon nap does improve your ability to do work instead of feeling super tired and sleepy, doing your work with only one eye open and the other in dreamland, which really "splits your brain into two".

"Sleep plays a critical role in thinking and learning. Lack of sleep hurts these cognitive processes in many ways. First, it impairs attention, alertness, concentration, reasoning, and problem solving. This makes it more difficult to learn efficiently.
Second, during the night, various sleep cycles play a role in “consolidating” memories in the mind. If you don’t get enough sleep, you won’t be able to remember what you learned and experienced during the day." This part was found on the web. Yes, the web does say the same thing as me.

Tomorrow...

Hi guys,

This is BC here. Hope you guys are doing well. (I know this is a late post)

Let me start off by giving two scenarios.

Scenario 1)  Tomorrow is school day. You have to go to school. On the way, you say "Die... Today long day..."

Scenario 2) Tomorrow is school day. You have to go to school. You think school is going to be okay with friends around.

Which do you choose? Friends or Emotions?

One must always have hope for tomorrow. Hope is the thing that provides us with the nutrition to live as a human being. Can you imagine if the world had no hope? You would be thinking RIGHT NOW that you do not want to do anything tomorrow. You do not want to live tomorrow.

Always have hope for anything. Even the small little things. I cannot tell you what "Small" means to you. You got to find it out by yourself, until you had truly understand the meaning of hope and life.

That should be all for today. Remember, Make The Most Out Of Yourself and Have a nice day.

Fear Leads To Anger. Anger Leads To Hate. Hate Leads To Suffering.

Hi there.

This is BC here. Hope you guys are feeling as happy as you can be.

So, today's post is mostly about the three words: Fear, Anger, and Hate. I know a lot of you do fear at least someone in your life. Be it teachers, parents, classmates, schoolmates, bullies, bosses, colleagues, secretaries, etc. Fear can be a good thing, and a bad thing, depending on which side you decide to look at it.

Plato said something that I very much agree with. "We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." How I do interpret it is that children tend to be afraid of darkness. Yes, it is very natural. But the thing is, light brings hope for our life. Our life is given this opportunity to shine with the light that is bestowed upon us. Light and Dark is a balance. There should not be a world of total light or darkness. Anyway, fear can be good as in for example, you get a fierce and strict teacher on the first day of school. It is okay to be frightened of this teacher. But it is not okay to be overly afraid and lose your confidence completely, whine all the way, and think that having this teacher around is the end of your life. It is about your attitude; not the teacher, in this example.

Anger is one of the things that is so common. I mean, who on Earth does not get angry? But the only bad thing is that whenever anger overwhelms you, you might suddenly get into an emotional outburst. This way, you might lose friends easily. Anger can be contained. You can choose to be angry over a small matter, for example,  One Fine Day your friend tells you a joke, and you feel it offends you. You can choose to be
1) Angry. Just scream my lungs out.
OR
2) Laugh and get the best medicine in life.
If you had noticed, all the posts in this blog(Except yesterday's Word of The Day and Quote of the Day) are all asking you to make a choice between Negative Thoughts and Positive thoughts. It is really your choice.

Okay. We have come so far. The worst of the worst- Hate. Hate is a real big subject to talk about. It is a strong feeling that is easy to get.

Will Smith too did say something that I also agree with. (Note: This might be talking about God and other religious stuff. If you are a non-religious person, I suggest you to skip this.)

"Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too."

Hating is even worse than getting angry at someone. Anger can be contained and resolved in a day or two. Hating is a grudge that stays in your heart for many years as long as you stay close to the subject. Hating does do much more damage to the soul than any other thing. It is like pouring boiling water on yourself for a very long time until the boiling water supply gets cut off. My friend did say, "Don't hate! It's Christmas!" (Of course, it was a while back). That's the power of love over hate.

So I have typed a lot today. Hopefully this is useful to all. Remember, Make the Most Out Of Yourself and have a nice day.

JOKE...

Warning. Please do not take this seriously.

Seriously, my mom does not take serious things seriously. Serious things should seriously be recognized as the serious as when non-serious things get serious, Seriously, you are not serious that it will mess things up and eventually seriously injure your morale. SERIOUSLY?!
